This game has been a part of me since 1976. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in many aspects of
the Golf Industry. As part of the grounds crew to managing golf courses, being an instructor and coaching at both the high school and collegiate level as well as owning my own teaching facility.

With over 70 IPhone Apps geared towards Golf GPS systems, you might be wondering where do I begin. As a golf professional, I've found three that I really like. I show them in the chart below with a feature comparison. Also note that GolfLogix makes a great app that is free to download but you must have a yearly subscription or "membership" as they call it for $39.95. This unlocks the courses and gives you full GPS coverage. The apps I prefer are not the cheapest of IPhone Apps, but there are no yearly fees.
My preference is the GolfShot GPS. It offers an easy touch point screen and uses Google maps. It is easy to use for all levels and sets up your stats automatically.
